Weekend Reading 12.13.20

Ugh, here we go again in California with further lockdowns due to rising virus cases. My county has major restrictions on businesses ability to operate and a stay home order until mid January. It’s heartbreaking and frustrating for all my friends who own small businesses and are barely surviving.

I joined a friend for one last bit of merriment on Friday night because all the restaurants and bars (and so many other businesses) in the Bay Area are forced to close again as of this weekend. Damn, this sucks. My heart goes out to all my friends and family who work in health care, they are feeling overworked too. We are living in very challenging times. I have friends who are very fearful of the virus and I have friends that are so over the governmental restrictions, and everyone lands somewhere different on the spectrum.

It’s a season when we are supposed to feel merry, and yet the circumstances of the world make that really difficult right now. I’m trying to remain positive and grateful and I do like looking at everyone’s decorations and recipes online, and all my neighbor’s holiday lights, that lifts my spirits. How are you all feeling this week, I’d love to know.

Two more things….

1) There’s a holiday sale at Restless Art! See this Insta post for the 40% off discount codes! Shown below, the calming Gold Coast print.

2) I’m working on an end-of-the-year post that includes 2020 reflections and 2021 intentions. I’ll be posting that on Wednesday, December 30th. Won’t you join me? We all have different experiences and lessons to share from the strangest most challenging year ever. Would you share your reflections on 2020? What you learned? And let us know how you’re moving forward in 2021?

We can all learn from and be inspired by each other. :)
